The Insane Webmaster's Toolbox
Over the years I have learned to use many many tools. Everything from photo editing software, to chat programs, and much more. This page is dedicated to those tools I've used, and approve of.
Adobe CS4 Master Collection
In August of 2010, I upgraded my Graphic collection. With the Adobe CS4 Master Collection, I can now create virtually any kind of graphic wanted. The newer photoshop has more features. The collection also includes some other great programs for graphic editing and creation. As well as having a great video editing program. This is one of the best single acquisitions I have ever made.
Macromedia Dreamweaver MX
I started using this program in 2008, and wonder how I managed to design sites without it. While I don't use it in the sense everyone associates with using a WYSIWYG Web Design program, I still use it in most of my work. I simply use it for the fact that it is both a text editor and an FTP program in one!
Adobe PhotoShop CS2
I started using this program in 2008. This is a fairly well planned out program, and now use it for all my image editing. I started out using some random Photo editing software, and had upgraded to Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8 which I used for several Years, and still have a copy running on my Desktop, but I use Photoshop more now.
Web Developer Toolbar
I was pointed towards this FireFox Add-On Early in 2009. I had just started really getting into doing CSS Design Work, and wanted a way to see how everything worked out in realtime. I was able to do that with the Web Developer toolbar. It's a pretty useful tool, especially for those just starting out with site development.
FileZilla
I just recently started using this program, but it is already one that I will stand behind 100%! I went from a Paid program (Bulletproof FTP) that was getting extremely slow, and having lots of errors requiring me to restart the transfers, to this free and open source program that is extremely fast. The difference in the 2 programs is like a comparison of a 28.8 Dial-up connection, and a Cable/DSL Connection to the internet. FileZilla has won me over in just the first use!
KB Publisher
I have just recently gotten into this. Around the beginning of November 2009 I started doing work on the knowledgebase for the company that I work for. It's basically used as an internal FAQ area. We deal with hundreds upon hundreds of different products. Utilizing Knowledgebase, any employee can get information on a specific model just by performing a simple search and pulling up an info page. This program is really a great program.
Joomla!
Starting mid-2010, I started working with Joomla! for the company I work for. I have created my companies Acount portal page. We use it for different information. Before I started working with this program where I am employed full time, I downloaded it for myself. I currently use Joomla! for one of my personal websites. Having installed it myself...I knew more of the background workings of the program, and have ran troubleshooting for the company.
