About The Insane Webmaster
As an Individual
Well there are plenty of things about me. Some of my interests are fishing, camping, working on cars/trucks, weather, computers and website design. I've been around weather, fishing and camping since I was born. My late grandfather bought me a fishing rod that he gave me when I was 2 days old. My late grandfather also got me into weather. From birth until he passed away, he was in E.S.D.A. (Emergency Services and Disaster Agency) and I was taken to the office with him numerous times. I've been interested in cars for many years as well, I changed my first tire when I was 6. I helped my uncle work on his cars. I was very close to my uncle James, and worked with him on several of our vehicles. Computers became a passion in jr high, and has grown ever since.
As a Website Designer
I started working with websites roughly around 1994. Geocities was my first experience with websites. While the sites I created were on the more personal level, I still was teaching myself the ins and outs of website design. This was where I first learned HTML. The very first site I created, was my personal weather site. The second site I made was a sort of "fan page" for the "Peoria Rivermen". I started honing my skills, and my perfectionism started coming out.
I did some various website design work freelance, and then got my first paying customer for a real site. It was an e-commerce site for a local liquor store. This was the starting point of the focus on web design, as well as the branching point for the business. This was the time I started doing website hosting. I later learned CSS, and SEO Techniques and become more focused on the business as a whole.
